Hurricane Updates

NSU University School will re-open on Friday, October 11 and all activities will resume as normal. Although Hurricane Milton is no longer a significant threat to south Florida, please use extra caution in your travel to and from school.

Nova Southeastern University and NSU University School administrators are closely monitoring the weather conditions associated with Hurricane Milton, which is expected to impact parts of Florida beginning on Tuesday. In an abundance of caution, and due to the continued possibility of inclement weather and potential flooding, administrators have decided that NSU University School will be closed on Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10. We would also like to request that parents pickup their children at dismissal time or before 5:00pm on Tuesday, October 8 to allow our teachers and staff time to get home and prepare for the storm. 

Due to the school closures, some school events and activities beginning October 8 and continuing through October 10 will need to be cancelled or rescheduled. Please see details below:

• 4:30pm Middle School Football Game (Cancelled)
• 5:00pm After Care Closes for Preschool, Lower School, and Middle School Children
• 5:00pm Middle School Play Rehearsal Ends
• 5:00pm All Athletic Team Practices End
• 6:00pm Hispanic Heritage Month Lower School Concert (Cancelled)
• 7:00pm College Counseling - Paying for College Presentation Zoom (No Changes)
• 7:00pm Middle School Baseball Parents Zoom (No Changes)

 Wednesday, October 9:

• Preschool Parent/Teacher Conferences (Date Changed to October 23)
• Lower School Parent/Teacher Conferences (Date Changed to October 23)
• Middle School Parent/Teacher Conferences (Date Changed to October 23)
• PSAT for Grades 8-11 (Date Changed to October 23)
• 3:30pm JV Girls Volleyball Game (Cancelled)
