C.I.T. (Counselors-in-Training)

Counselors-in-Training will work along Camp Nova’s experienced staff and learn what it takes to be a counselor in a summer day camp environment. C.I.T.s must commit to the first four weeks consecutively, the second four weeks consecutively, or the whole summer. At least two professional references must be provided and there will also be an interview to determine qualifications for this position.

Please note you must have completed 9th grade to participate in this camp.

My First Lemonade Stand

Let's sell lemonade! Young campers become "lemonade entrepreneurs" and learn how to make yummy lemonade and earn money selling it! From designing marketing flyers to estimating profits to experimenting with recipes, campers have fun all week while improving business savvy. As an optional showcase event, campers launch the lemonade stand on Friday to raise money for a charity they select!

Hollywood Movie Making

Hollywood Movie Making Camp - Join us on the red carpet for action, adventure, and a lot of comedy this summer. Using the latest equipment, including MacBooks, 4k cameras, tripods, boom microphones, green screens and aerial drones, young filmmakers will work in small film crews under the guidance of their own master filmmaker to storyboard, script, film, act in, and edit their own short film. Movies will be made available in our online theater following the completion of the workshop.

Are you a theater fanatic? Do you love acting, props, skits, and want to learn the business of theater? Join this hands-on and theatrical camp where you'll learn about skits, financing a production, the production planning process, and more! This is a great opportunity to showcase your acting and theater skills while developing business savvy.

Lego/Clay Stop Motion Animation Camp

Using the latest equipment, including MacBooks and 4k stop motion cameras, young filmmakers will work in small film crews under the guidance of their own master filmmaker to storyboard, script, film, act in, and edit their own short stop motion movie. Campers can choose to use their Lego and/or our clay in their movie. Films will be made available in our online theater following the completion of the workshop.

ALOHA From Tippi Toes Beach

Pop on your sunnies and get ready to hula at the Tippi Toes island party! This camp combines high-energy Tippi Toes dance classes with beach-themed games, crafts, and activities. Campers will have the opportunity to perform at the end of the week's big island beach bash!

Princess Camp

Once upon a time in a not so far away land, Tippi Toes planned a beautiful Princess Dance Camp. Young campers will come from near and far dressed in princess or ballerina outfits, and meet princesses, fairies, and ballerinas. This camp will be filled with dancing, princess crafts, and lots of FUN!

Hypothesize, observe, and watch in wonder over the crazy science reactions in our WOW Lab. Each lesson will focus on a scientific experiment and the science behind the experiment. We will create biomes from around the world, star gaze at constellations, master meteorology, investigate how things work and dabble in chemistry and physics. We will create our own designs and make structures using recyclable materials, building blocks, and many other interesting items. Skills necessary? None! Skills gained? Young Debaters

Learn the art of persuasion! Students work in rotating groups and practice their debating skills in a supportive environment, including developing arguments, issuing rebuttals, providing examples, rebuilding their case, and summarizing points of view. Students learn to think on their feet and enhance their public-speaking skills, gaining self-confidence in the process.

My First Food Truck

Campers select a food theme, choose an ideal location, identify target customers, design appealing menus, and form a comprehensive business plan covering strategy, marketing, operations and finance, including capital-raising needs. Activities include drafting mission statements, setting prices, estimating expenses, and learning key financial metrics. This program offers a tasty way to develop business savvy! My First Piggy Bank

Earn, save, spend, donate! Let's learn about money! This innovative program provides a solid foundation on financial literacy for kids in a fun setting. Games and hands-on activities help campers internalize key concepts (like money, budgeting and saving) in an engaging and supportive environment fostering teamwork. My First Farm Stand

Fun on the farm earns money at the market! Students learn how farm stand favorites are grown and raised and brought to local farm stands at their peak of freshness and flavor. Develop healthy eating habits while learning where our food comes from , how it is grown, and the people and jobs involved in the process. Students grow tomato seedlings and sell them at their very own farm stand - raising money for a charity of their choice.

Marine Science Camp

This camp will take place off-campus at the NSU Oceanographic Center. Mornings will consist of field trips where campers will be one with the water, participating in paddle-boarding, water skiing, an everglades boat ride, and more. In the afternoon, campers will hear from guest speakers and learn all about marine science, the study of marine life, and organisms in the ocean.

Minecraft Masterminds

Dive into a world or coding and creativity at Minecraft® Masterminds! In this dynamic camp, kids explore the fundamentals of computer programming through the captivating universe of Minecraft®, learning to code by creating custom game elements like terrains, structures, and characters. Alongside coding, Campers will delve into the realm of 3D printing, bringing their digital creations to the real world!

Robot Rumble: Ultimate Engineering Showdown

Build and code LEGO Spike Robots and go head-to-head against your fellow campers' creations in an adrenaline-charged Battle Bot finale! Additionally, compete in a series of daily challenges: strategize with Spheros, engage in RoboMaster battles, and navigate drones through aerial racetracks. This camp is a playground for young innovators to explore engineering concepts, develop problem-solving skills, and embrace the thrill of bringing their creations to life.

Note: Lego Spike will be used throughout the camp in the mornings. In the afternoons we will incorporate other robotics equipment.

Arcade Builders: Code, Circuitry, and Play

Dive into the world of video game design! Campers will learn to code their own video games, turning imaginative ideas into playable adventures they can take home to play with family and friends! They'll also develop valuable circuitry skills by building custom controllers for their games, blending digital creativity with hands-on engineering. Enroll now and watch your child transition from game consumer to game creator!

Note: This is a Video Game building camp. However, after lunch, we will shift to circuitry for Campers to build their own Video Game Controllers.

Deposits and Discounts

There is a $100 non-refundable deposit PER SESSION, PER CHILD that is due when registering for this camp. This deposit will be deducted from the total cost of tuition.

NSU University School families receive 15% off total camp tuition if paid in full by March 15, 2024.

All other families receive 10% off total camp tuition if paid in full by April 19, 2024.

Each additional sibling within a family will receive 10% off camp tuition.

Full-time NSU faculty will receive 35% off camp tuition. (Pending tuition waiver approval: Please reach out to your HR contact regarding where to fill out the waiver.)
